Hi! I’m the owner of Rooms To Show. My name is Kevin and I love making houses feel like home!
We are a small family-owned business located in Odessa, FL. We service the northern side of the Tampa metro area with a variety of home renovation and improvement services. We specialize in carpentry and other finish work that gives your home that fresh look and feel.
Our goal is to make your home look and feel fresh and welcoming! You can find scores of companies who specialize in kitchens and baths so we try to focus on the rest of your house. Your living room, your bedrooms, your office or hallway…yes, even that one wall that just needs something to bring it to life. We strive to make every room a room to show!
History
I grew up in Oklahoma learning Construction from my dad. At the age of 15 I had my first summer job helping a framer build houses. I explored other career paths for a few years but never seemed to enjoy anything as much as working with my hands. In 2016 I moved to Florida to work with a custom home builder where I honed my skills and earned my contractor’s license. During those years, I was continually shocked at the poor quality and craftsmanship I saw in the construction industry. A lot of my job consisted of going behind others to fix their work. I saw a huge lack of quality craftsmanship and personal ownership in industry as a whole.
So I started my own company in 2021 with the vision of bringing quality workmanship back into the construction field and training other young men in the skills of the trade. Anyone can be a carpenter, but it takes experience, training and personal ownership to make a craftsman.
Mission
What I love more than carpentry is people! Building and creating things is fun, but people are of much greater value. That’s why I am committed to keeping my small business small. I want to personally be involved in every project and build healthy relationships with each client and employee.
What To Expect
There is nothing worse than having yet another unfamiliar sub-contractor knocking on your door just to do one small part of your project that has already dragged on much longer than you anticipated. We get it - your home is meant to be home - not a construction site. That’s why at Rooms To Show we do all of the work ourselves. From start to finish you get the same smiling faces and as little mess as possible. We give you an honest expectation of how long the project will take and we never work weekends…trust me, we need our rest too!
